FYI: Savage can be heard throughout most of the Bay Area on AM 650 from 4-7pm.

Here's a copy of the email tirade I just sent to KSFO:

Just a note to let you know that your decision to not lock up Savage in the afternoon is insane.

Lee & Melanie are great, but that's pretty much it now at KSFO.

Seriously. What are you guys thinking when you run a Hannity hour at noon, then hour two at 9pm and never run hour three?

Art Bell is gone and George Noory is no Art Bell. WABC, NY figured that out, why are you guys settling for that weak show.

Dr. Laura is fine, but sorry, Neal Boortz wins that match.

Brian Wilson? All the guy does is read Drudge Report headlines and insult Savage. (How many times has he called Jack Swanson to beg for the afternoon slot this week? This is the same guy who wrote an op-ed piece telling Limbaugh to step down after he announced he was deaf, then jockeyed for that gig too.) Total loser.

A tape delayed Hannity in pm drive is not going to work.

I guess I don't really care if you guys let Savage go. I mean how long will it take for 910 or 1550 or even an FM station to pick him up?

My only question is, who on earth do you think you're going to replace him with. This is the programming blunder of the century!

Meantime, I'll be tuned in to 650 every afternoon...(In fact, I may keep listening to them even if you guys bring him back.)

That last segment about real women and lesbians and gayness was filler crap.

Today's show is probably one of those skip-me shows.

I agree with it being filler in the last segment, but it was funny and it was classic rapid-fire Mike, just one thought after another. I liked it when he was about to say why he really read National Geographic, but he stopped himself.

For some reason, I didn't find it that funny.

There's no question that magazines and videos have warped the male mind in it's perception of women.

It's just that I'm hearing subliminal messages in this show. Does he expect listeners to all just work 12-15 hours a day and marry lazy heffers?

On another thread, I'm reading all of these complaints about customer Service Without A Smile.

Everyone seems to be getting more bossy and more elitist in this country.

It's probably just a misperception I'm going through. Maybe it's biochemical, who knows?

Who appointed these bossy people slavemasters?

I dunno why Weiner had to lie about his being let go by KSFO by saying there were "technical difficulties."

Calling Savage by his real name is such a weak tactic. What does it prove? "I know his real name, Savage isn't his real name, Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah."

Seriously, do you tell your friends that you're listening to Bob Ritchie, when you have a Kid Rock CD on? Do you refer to Larry King by his real last name? I mean, tons of media people use stage names. Other than the implied, under-handed sleight, what is your point?

the truth, that he wanted to come to terms with them in his contract renewal, but they weren't able to reach a mutually agreeable decision. I could accept that. But this "technical difficulty" stuff? Minor league stuff.

Sorry, wrong again.

Savage was the consumate pro to not disclose his contract negotiations. In fact, there's probably a non-disclosure clause, and he most likely not allowed to discuss it on the air.

But contrary to your suggestion, ranting about his contract negotiations on the air would have been "minor league stuff."

Savage mentioned it on the beginning of the show that "they" dropped him and that he would be back on because He is going to fix them up.

Once again they are taking away his Millstone. Dont take away Savage's Millstone-it could be trouble

We can disagree on the exact content, but my point was that I liked the way he couldn't stay on topic for than 1 minute and he kept jumping ship to something else. The part where he read the email about his quote in Playboy was pure self promotion, but it lead him into a crazy freefall of ideas.

I prefer the typical vegas night life girl to most playmates. they blow playmates out of the water.

I met a whole crop a playmates at a bacardi party a few months back. they're just cute girls and the lighting and airbrushing artists make them more than human.

Many of them are just like normal, good-looking college girls that you see on campus.

that last caller was great bitching about family radio.

i'm exactly the opposite of that guy. yeah, i agree with mike that the pregnancy and the creation of life is 'beautiful', but it is NOT 'sexy.'

that being said, i can only hope to get a hotty pregnant with my pathetic job.

out of my league, seriously.

many of them that I've been talking to graduated this semester. To every single one of them (separately) I asked what they were doing post-graduation...they are all going to keep doing their waitress jobs here in vegas because they will make better money than going into an actual career.

I could only hope to make what they make.

Well, I don't know what the last matchstick was, but it's almost never just one party's fault. A Freeper upthread called, and was told that they were unhappy that he was gone. I worked in radio in a previous life, been through format and contract changes, and the normal response to the public is, "Who?" Any admission that they missed him on the schedule is pretty unusual.

My guess is that he went for more money or a longer contract that they were willing to go for. I wonder if their latest TSL (Time Spent Listening - frequency per week and time per day) was trending down.
