If Rove gets behind him, and the GOP pushes him, he will win, and cripple the democratic party nationally, as well as do serious long term damage to the rat party in georgia.

The only reason that party isn't dead, is because Zell Miller, the crazy old fool that he is, makes himself seem like the ideal democrat, and many people think thats what mainstream democrats are like, they don't see that his views are pretty much republican, and he also campaigns and endorses dem canidates.
