I remember many years ago when Chamberlain appeared on the (Johnny Carson) Tonight Show. Chamberlain mentioned that he'd spent the summer on Fire Island. Johnny made a joke about the denizens of Fire Island, and Chamberlain changed the subject PDQ.

As a matter of fact I allways knew that, Richard Chamberlain was gay, just along the way he looked and behaved and, especially, when my wife made me watch the damn "Thornbirds".
I allways told her that the dude comes awfully phagelly to me, when her and I, were arguing back and forth about his marital status.
Guess what...this thread makes me the winner...and the prize is...I am getting....;{)>

Replace Gay with Sodomite please.
He is not Gay---he is a Sodomite.
He is delusional and has been given over to his perversions.
I never did watch any of his programs and I doubt if anyone really cares about this has been Sodomite.

Two of my favorite miniseries of all time are 'The Man in the Iron Mask' and 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. I couldn't care less about this guy's private life. Those two shows were awesome.

"Shogun" was a masterpiece. I still remember it vividly. Much better than "Roots". I'm glad the old fag didn't come out until now...shows he's got some class to just live his gay life without shoving it down our throats, or attacking the boy scouts like so many others have in the past 10 years.

Richard Chamberlin GAY??? No, seriously, I heard that news about 25 years ago. Did he think he was kidding anybody? I used to laugh at all the old ladys in the office I used to work in when the made for TV movie "The Thornbirds" was fist shown 20 years ago. When I told them their lover-boy was gay, they blew a gasket and wouldn't believe me. NOW I STAND VICTORIOUS, and VINDICATED!! I love to destroy "false idols".

WOW, what an interesting piece of 'news'. (Sarcasm off)
I never cared for him as an actor.
To: dogbyte12
Why is this news? When I was kid watching Shogun on NBC I suspected that he was gay. It's been an open "secret" for decades.
To: dogbyte12
Richard Chamberlain sure knows how to keep a secret. Richard Chamberlain is gay? Heavens to Betsy, who knew? What a revelation!

Maybe I'm cynical but his "revelation" now ensures his immortality in Hollywood archives. Just like with Sal Mineo, Rock, Rosie, etc.

...almost 20 years ago he wed another man...How did he marry another man? Homosexual marriages are not recognized by law. We need to keep it that way.
The Federal Marriage Amendment, which defines marriage as between one man and one woman, supported by members of both political parties, will soon be introduced in Congress. The Amendment needs your support. See American Family Association (www.afa.org) and sign the petition.

Richard Chamberlain Has Been Married For Twenty Years (To a Guy) In what country?
To: dogbyte12
Richard Chamberlain Has Been Married For Twenty Years (To a Guy) BS! I personally know he was a promiscuous homosexual in the early eighties. Hes lucky he doesnt have AIDS knowing the sort he hung around, some of them were the very earliest to die from the disease. What a bunch of crap.
