Hello, Colleen.
The Coast Guard has one of the roughest jobs in the world - something many don't think about often.
In addition to the rescue aspects and bad weather, are all the boats trying to smuggle drugs and goods to shore.
Worse in that respect than a city cop who can perhaps find cover. A sea vessel is a sitting duck.
