Unfortunately Sheriff Ken-Ken (5'2" in elevator shoes) isn't an ex-sheriff. He is the CURRENT sheriff of Broward County. And a very POWER-HUNGRY Sheriff at that. Sheriff Ken-Ken is currently trying to take over the Fire Department here as well.
My mistake, repeating something I'd read elsewhere w/o checking. But in that case, since he was appointed by the previous governor, can he be fired by the current one?
Checking his office webpage I see that he was indeed appointed by the previous governor, and that his only real experience in law enforcement, prior to being appointed as sherrif, other than as a prosecutor, was as an Army Reserve MP of some sort, which he retired from as a Sergeant Public Safety Supervisor (E-5, the lowest NCO rank, seems kind of a low rank to retire with, even, or maybe especially, in the reserves)
