There was another black male singer there tonite. Looked almost like a thinner version of Ruben. He had the moves, the voice, and the charisma. You're referring to Rickey Smith, who sings smooth as silk, but has an unexpectedly high voice. Rickey's voice sounds more like it should be coming out of Clay's body.
Like Blair Underwood, Tyson Beckford, and Rick Fox, Rickey is one of those guys that makes me -- a black man --say to myself, "Man, if I only looked like that guy..."

Interesting. I found Charles Grisby much more appealing on the eyes out of all the contestents, even Josh! In fact my girlfriends and I ( all white) found him very handsome.

Well, I'm a 66 yr. old white lady and I thought he was so smoothe and had what it took to be in the finals.......he touched me...for what it's worth. Isn't that what makes a star. The feeling people have when they see and/or hear the person. When I was a very young I used to nearly swoon over Nat King Cole and couldn't wait to buy the CD with Natalie Cole and her father singing (sort of) together.
