It's funny, Lee'sGhost, that you mention women's lib worst nightmare. I view myself as a feminist in the sense that women are of equal value and have their own unique talents -- some things we do better, some things (like upper arm strength) we generally do worse -- and each person should be judged as an individual. I think in that sense, all people of substance are feminists.
BUT that's not the same thing as not having a sense of humor. That photo of the 9/29/01 Freep in this piece is the photo where Stand Watie announced that if the leftist charged, "we should protect the women and children!!!" When I interviewed Diane, we just giggled about that line. First of all, there weren't any children about. Secondly, Diane's a fit Navy veteran and probably quite able to defend herself better than some of the other Freepers. BUT the key thing was we were both LAUGHING light-heartedly about it, without a smidgeon of resentment. It *really* helps to have a sense of humor and not get terribly defensive all the time.

Exactly as do I. I tend to use women's lib and feminazi interchangeably, while being a feminist is what you and I are. I guess I need to be careful about that as most people aren't able to read my mind yet -- just my wife.
