Congratulations, RR. Today's your day in the "Finest" spotlight, and you deserve it. Your photos are always great; the composition of your shots in this thread are proof of your artistic eye.

In keeping with FTH's admonishments against jealousy, I will say that I admire your photographic skill - a lot!

FTH, that photo you were asking about... that's not stand watie, but his lookalike Jeff from Maryland. Jeff is a proud Maryland TRT member and fellow law-abiding "gun nut." For those of you who may not have met Jeff, he's one of the nicest and most peaceable guys I know, and he was one of the foci of Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose's "white guy + white truck = DC sniper" profiling last fall. The thread about his story (and how he turned the tables, with a little help from an NRA video crew, on the federal inquisitors who showed up on his doorstep during the sniper investigation) is somewhere here on FR. Boy were the "investigators" PO'd; they were mumbling about being "set up" when they saw the camera crews in Jeff's front yard when they arrived for their follow-up question session.

One last thing about September 29th. Jeff had, on the top of his "Don't Tread on Me" flagpole, impaled a skull labeled "Osama," and had adorned said skull with painted-on bullet holes. Definitely not politically correct; which is one of the many reasons why I like him. ;-)

I'll bet RabidRalph has a photo of Osama's head on the pike in her collection of photos from that day.
