SOME TIPS

-- Watch closely for room numbers (101). A reference to 1984. From George Orwell's 1984: 'You asked me once,' said O'Brien, 'what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.'

-- Try not to watch the fight sequence between Neo and the Smiths too closely -- you will see Neo's glasses go on and off for what seemed like 30 times!

-- Watch for Neo's plugs -- he has all of them in most scenes in Zion (even though the first flick started with the Neb. crew removing them!).

-- Note the 6th iteration (after the first failed) -- that is, the 7th iteration (or 7th "day" to create...).

-- They clearly set the stage for Revolutions by opening up discussions of the balance of POWER and relationships between man and machines.

Question: where are the kids in Zion?

FINALLY

-- If you want to see the movie trailer and some sequences from the REVOLUTIONS episode to be shown in November -- DON'T Leave the theater too early. Wait a miserable 9-10 minutes watching all those credits and listening to that Anarchist Rock noise -- it comes up at the very end.

They were not removing them. They were cleaning them and closing them off. They cannot be removed. In the first Matrix, after Neo wakes up on the Neb after surgery, there is a scene of him pulling an IV out of a wrist plug. Also note that Morpheus and Trinity ALSO have their plugs throughout.

Not just that, but also the interdependance between man and machines. Also the fact that this is irrelavent in the grand scheme. That the only thing that really matters is who is in control of who. Of course, it also touches on the ethic inherent in use of power as well as the fact that all appearances of control are illusions.

Question: where are the kids in Zion?

Watch the "pilgrim" scenes closer when they get to Zion. Lots of children.

Pull back a step from that, and you'll see that the relationship between man and machine is caught in an endless loop - a system anomally.
