Posted on 05/15/2003 4:25:21 PM PDT by William McKinley
Just saw. The Senate voted 51-50, with Cheney casting the tie-breaking vote, to pass the Nickles amendment which reinstitutes to the budget, for a period of three years, the elimination of double taxation on dividends.

I saw Michael Dell on Cavuto and he was very excited about the possible elimination of the Dividends.

According to what I just saw on FNC, the vote has already happened. Cheney cast the tie-breaking vote. I saw Breaux whining about what 'we have just passed'.

Does this make it a done deal? If so, this is terrific! Take that Warren Buffet! You and all the other CEOs who were against this better start paying out some money to the owners of your corporations or your stock will not do as well as it might.

The following article was written before the vote by several hours. But the vote happened. The good guys held. We picked up Voinovich from the group of RINOs who were being difficult, and got Zell Miller and Don Nelson.

The RATS will complain, but lest we forget, the biggest tax INCREASE in US History was a tie-breaking vote by Algore.

Good to remember.
Personally, I don't care HOW many it passes by, just so it passes.

Chaffee is from the 3rd most liberal state in the Union. Not much he can do really. His papa was the same way.
