Hi, dixie! Long time, girlfriend!

Yes, definitely need a tissue handy if you're an old softie, like most of us here are! It's not that it's sad - it's just such a 'sweet' story!

Billie, when they went up on the rent and I had to move, I had to give up my cats. Tinkerbell, because she was so elderly and just about to pass on was the only one I was allowed to keep. The other three had to go. I miss them terribly. They were such good company and gave as much as they received.

Tinker Bell adopted Momma and myself in 1989. She was nothing but skin and bones. Someone had dropped her off and she was doing her best to stay alive. A dog chased her up to the front porch and we gave her some food and brought her in. She slept and wouldn't leave my room for the first month. Bud, one of the cats Momma brought from Florida finally got her to come out.

The boys we adopted when they were babies. From the same litter - Murphy had the true burmese markings and his brother, Sam Black as the Ace of Spades, was blackish-red.

One morning when I went out to the car to go to work, a beautiful himalyian was sitting on the log - just watching. When I came home that evening she was in the same place. Toy walked over to me - meowed to me and then preceeded to lead me to the apartment.

I miss them. It gets awfully quiet sometimes...
