Perdue's election to the Governorship seems to have been completly unexpected by the GOP leadership. I'm not sure they even had a plan in place for the leadership takeover.

When Perdue immediately called for tax increases all I saw was red. How can he expect support from his base when a tax hike is his first order of business?
