When you think about some of the most controversial recent racial incidents-- Louima, Rodney King, The LA Riots, Crown Heights, Bensonhurst, Diallo, etc.- they have happened in the North.
I think the South has demons on this issue, but isn't it funny that JC Watts was elected in an overwhelmingly white district by white Republicans in Oklahoma, yet nearly all the other memebrs of the CBC are elected in districts with super black majorities. I think the North and other liberal areas, who feel so confident on these issues, need to look in the mirror and address their own race problems rather than constantly attack white Southerners.
Why is their not 1 black Democrat Senator? The truth of the matter is, that if a Black wants to get elected to state-wide office, he or she should be a Republican.

AH HA!!!!!!!! You got it. When Carl McCall ran for governor, he was ABANDONED by the democratic party. Rush Limbaugh felt sorry for him and raised over ten million dollars for his campaign. I voted for him in protest vote against Pataki. However, democrats wouldn't support him because they felt he wasn't a viable candidate. Any less viable than Dinkins?!!! Carl McCall, if you bring down to race, has more class than Dinkins, even if he is a democrat. Yeah JC Watts... people forget that. He doesn't count though, he's a uncle tom black conservative like that other sell-out Clarence Thomas.
