I am doing a project and would like to locate a picture of GWB and Gore side by side at the 2nd(?) St. Louis Oct. 2000 debate. Anyone got pix or pointers? I tried looking through the archives but it seems that people were not as much into photos then, or perhaps the links all expired. Anyway, TIA for any help!

Yeah, I know how you feel. When I first joined the dose, I was kind of frustrated because not very many people replied to me. But, don't worry, they will. Besides, everybody's gone during the day.

I looked at Time magazine's website under their photo archives for 2000, but I couldn't find the photo you were looking for. They had pictures from the first debate (in Boston I think), but they didn't have any from St. Louis.

I went to CSPAN to see what I could find. I find a link to the video of the debate, but no photos. I don't know if you can get a still picture from a live feed, but you can review the debate if you want.

My boss absolutely hates Bush, as do most other professors I know. I feel like a fish in a bowl sometimes but I love Bush and I'm not ashamed to say so. I took down a bunch of pictures from the war and put a bunch of new Bush pics up. I love the one where he's playing Uncle Sam. It is a large picture and takes up a prominent place. I don't know if I know how I would post it but perhaps you could give me a hint. Love, Maryxxx

Posting a picture is actually pretty easy as long as it is on the web somewhere, not just on your computer or even your LAN. When you have a pic you would like to post, right click with your mouse. Instead of saving it, click on PROPERTIES. This will bring up a box with info about the photo including it's web address. Highlight the web address and right click and COPY.

Now, when you go to post use img src="the web address" this should be begun with a <. Then they should be ended with a >. I would type it all out but then all you would see are the dreaded red X. You'll also want to put in breaks between your text and your photo with a p surrounded by <> brackets. Good luck and happy posting.
