Good question! Sorry I missed this last night. I am going to look at it today. Thanks (I think).

I followed some links to the news story. Apparently the trade pact negotiations with Singapore were begun during Clinton's term. The golf game was while he was still president.
I don't blame you for being suspicious. The caption on that photo left the impression he had been over there recently making deals! Thankfully, this is not so.

Thanks for the ping

I think it's the sweetest thing I've ever heard of and have now added it to the list of criteria I want in my husband (whenever I can find him!) LOL! Definitely a quality to look for in a man......and it certainly shows what a sweet and giving man he is.

Ohio, I hate to break it to you but the President is probably totally unaware of the ogling that goes on about him. And he always takes coffee to Laura in bed. He has said so many, many times.Oh, Kath....Kath........sigh.......
George and Laura are really, REALLY married, and they're best friends. Even if HE were unaware of the sensation he caused on Thursday (for goodness' sake, a 65 year old lady in our church was gushing yesterday morning about how 'manly' he looked 'strutting' around on that deck......everybody noticed it!), LAURA most certainly was. (After 25 years, she knows what effect he has on women, Kath...... and in a flightsuit?? C'mon, girl!)
It's my best guess, from descriptions and observations of their relationship, that she just might tease him mercilessly about it for the rest of their lives!
The second point being, that, I KNOW he has mentioned the coffee in bed tradition many times before......which is why it's most curious that he brought it up again on Saturday! I still think he was reminding the world that he was happily 'taken.'

According to Frank Bruni's memoir Ambling into History, Dubya's morning routine has for years consisted of getting up, feeding the cats and the dog, making coffee, getting the paper, and then bringing the paper and coffee back up to Laura so they can lie in bed, drink coffee and read the paper together.

Sorry I'm late. I was in the path of the tornados last night, so the system stayed off!
In all seriesness, he must have peeked in here (over the shoulder of America's Finest! while he was on-ship) and saw RWP, you, and Lawgirl fawning! LOL

Barney wanted "UP daddy" and it looks like it wasn't too long until he got his way:)

I bet not only Laura is teasing him! Remember he calls Rumsfeld RUMSTUD so my guess is Rumsfeld and Cheney are ribbing him a bit, not to mention Jeb, Barbara, Dad, etc. I'm sure he is aware of the sensation he caused!

Apparently the trade pact negotiations with Singapore were begun during Clinton's term. The golf game was while he was still president. Thank goodness that is an old picture. You're right, it did leave me with the impression it was a recent story since it was under Top Stories.
Plus ... I do not trust that man.

Such a sad story...
I lost my first Sheltie when she was only 9 - the vet said it looked like she had a heart attack. But she looked very peaceful...
I recently got my second Sheltie, "Sammie" (named after Uncle Sam :) - she's not as smart as Sheppie was, but I love her to distraction nonetheless...
