follow the money

It was..
The FBI and two congressional committees conducted lengthy inquiries in the late 1990s into an alleged clandestine effort by the Chinese government to influence U.S. policy by funneling tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions through U.S. intermediaries to the Democratic National Committee, congressional candidates and former President Clinton's campaigns.
$%@##%# bastards.
Hopefully there will be more scrutiny of Shillery's POTUS campaign than there was of her lying, cheating husband.

public records as an information source or target of campaign finance investigationsAh, but Ashcroft disbanded the campaign finance task force. He sent Robert Conrad, the head of the task force who had told Reno to appoint an IC to investigate Gore, away by arranging an appointment as a US Attorney. Ashcroft has demonstrated no interest whatsoever in government corruption.
Nothing will come of this. It doesn't seem to matter which party is in power.
