Sorry...I don't accept that excuse. The 'files' excuse is just a convenient way to excuse every example of weakness or failure on the part of our guys to do the right thing. How could we possibly have elected so many people with so many bad things in their past? If we have, what does that say about us?

I don't dispute the files being in the hands of evil people and used to their advantage, but I do dispute the idea that every example of rolling over is a files thing, or that there are no other reasons for weakness on the part of the 'good guys'.
