William Rufus Devane King of Alabama was a slaveowner. Makes you wonder what went on in the slave quarters at night.

The current Pres. used to smoke, but he quit. Laura has supposedly quit, but according to some reports, has been having trouble doing so.

When Grover Cleveland returned to the White House after honeymooning with his 21-year old bride, the Marine Band struck up that Gilbert & Sullivan classic: "He's Gone and Married Yum-Yum".

As Mark Twain said, quitting smoking is easy. I've done it a thousand times.

Heard Robert Caro(sp?) recently. LBJ was really ticked off about having to give up smoking after his heart attack. However, he did keep a pack on his night table, unopened.
At least, till he was out of office.

Clinton smoked cigars, and Reagan used to do Cigarette commercials.

Yes, when Barbara Bush asked Laura long ago what she did for a living (I guess when she met her), she replied "I read; I smoke; I admire."

I know it's all politically incorrect and stuff, but I LOVE those Reagan ads. They're just cool-looking.

I suppose I do mean "Kool-looking." Anyhow, "Chesterfield-looking" sounded funny.
