Bubba after his wife turned the Whitehouse into a no smoke zone. Just to annoy her with his adolescent behavior. But she probably bought the vasaline.

As someone whose brother is battling stage four adrinocarcinoma with brain metastases, I dont really care.
I would suggest that those who do smoke quit.

Hillary wouldn't let him lit them! And he even admitted it!

On Kennedy and cigars...
One day in 1961, shortly after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion, the president took legendary action that has become a classic anecdote of cigar love. JFK called his cigar-smoking press secretary Pierre Salinger into the Oval Office and said, "I need a lot of cigars." "How many, Mr. President?" "About a thousand. Tomorrow morning, call all your friends who have cigars and just get as many as you can." Salinger rushed out and grabbed as many H. Upmann petits as he could find. The next morning there was an urgent message for him to enter the Oval Office immediately. "How did you do on the cigars last night?" asked Kennedy. "Mr. President," replied Salinger, "I was very successful. I got eleven hundred." With that, Kennedy opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a decree banning all Cuban products from entry into the United States. "Good," he replied. "Now that I have enough cigars to last awhile, I can sign this!"

Bubba and his infamous cigar! Wonder if he kept it for a souvenir? For that matter, wonder if he took the tip of each individual cigar and boldly went where every man's gone before?
To: Phantom Lord
I am searching Google right now for the photo, but am having no luck yet. He's on a golf course, holding the cigar in his hand, and the smoke is swirling around his head, like he just puffed on it and moved his hand. As soon as I find it (if I ever do), I will post it.
(I'd love to get my hands on the proof that he disobeyed the Hildabeast. Maybe she'll hit him upside the head with another ashtray!)

If Laura Bush smokes, it's possible MY President lights up occasionally, but I'd bet he isn't 'hooked' and I would bet Laura only smokes because she enjoys it, not hook either. It is possible to smoke casually, going days and weeks without lighting up or wanting to. I smoke and haven't had a cig in six days. Won't have another until my wife gets home, probably.

You wouldn't be referring to James Buchanan's friendship with William Rufus Devane King, would you? King was known as "Senator Nancy Boy" by Andrew Jackson.
