When we left Lowe's we turned on the local talk radio; Bill Manders was broadcasting from Lemoore. He said they flew over Visalia and Hanford. Geez ...... if I had known what time they were coming home, I would have let the errands wait until next week. The callers were awesome .... several telling about standing outside waving flags and at least one saying he stopped the truck he was driving and climbed on top to wave. Someone said that Hanford has 'Welcome Home' signs all over town. I am so happy they are being given a great homecoming. We missed most of the local TV coverage so will have to watch the 6:00 and 11:00 news. Well ... we will watch the news after the Prsident's speech.
Wouldn't it have been a wonderful experience to have been on base today? I cried just listening to the radio. Guess that I'm a big baby!!
