What ever happened to this Al Franken radio show that was supposed to be so popular? Did it ever get off the ground? I live in Boston so this would be a natural place for it. If a liberal talk show can't make it in Boston, it probably can't make it anywhere. (Conservative talk radio rules even in Boston where we have local hosts like Jay Severin, Howie Carr and David Brudnoy.)

The only thing you need to know about Franken's ability as a presenter is that he worked on SNL for 20 years, and when he asked to be the "Weekend Update" fake news anchor, they turned him down because they thought he would bore the audience to tears with his monotonous, flat delivery.
In a fit of pique he quit, and no one at SNL tried to keep him.
Whether or not the tired ideas of democratic socialism can be a hit on the radio is a separate question from whether Franken has any ability to be the spokesman for anything.

Watch Crossfire for about 30 seconds..it's about all one can take...but the pont is that the "left" side is either Carville or Begalla..so everything is in the context of how great and wonderful Bill and Hillary and all things Clintin were.....the Dems can't get beyond them....but the rest of the country is..
