Bets Are On: Who Will Be Dubya's Running Mate in 2004?

Who will GWB pick as a running mate for the 2004 match? IMHO, Dick Cheney isn't healthy enough for a second term.
I nominate Rudy Guiliani: Because he would capture NY and has capital to spare throughout the rest of the Nation for his actions after 9/11.
Please comment with your picks and rationale!

Anny

I'm guessing Fox of Mexico. Afterall, the US is practically Mexico ALREADY. Why not join the two countries a little early?

And speaking of Red Tables...anyone up for Friday? You know. Mud knows where I live and work, but he's never invited me.
But I can't make it on Friday anyway. Gotta chaperone a prom with the missus.

I will NOT for for Dubya UNLESS he choose a
PRO-LIFE running mate.
Powell is a stealth Democrat, a faux Republican, and pro-abortion; Guiliani had demonstrated in bailing out against Hitlery he hasn't the balls, while he is pro-abortion; And so is Condi Rice.

Forget Powell, he is a social liberal, and as far as 08 is concerned, just keep repeating JEB!, JEB!, JEB!

I've always thought Condi would make a great President. For the GOP to have the first female, black candidate would infuriate Jesse Jackson and really trouble Tom Daschle.

You know. Mud knows where I live and work, but he's never invited me.Well, Mud's a bit of a snob, & socially uncouth. (Besides, the fact that he'd have to share the breadsticks with one more person)
You're invited...says I.
But I can't make it on Friday anyway. Gotta chaperone a prom with the missus.
They have 'em at noontime now?

My favorite ticket would be Powell for VP and Cheney for Sec. State.
But I'll only go there if the VP slot reverts to its traditional role as the political graveyard. Powell needs to stay out of electoral politics, and I think he will. He doesn't like it and he doesn't need it. You gotta love it to be sucessful. Dubya's dad didn't love it enough.
As things are today, the VP is the expected future nominee. That's why Cheney will again be on the ticket. There is no one in Republican politics who can hold the VP office and guarantee '08 strength. The best thing Dubya can do is keep Cheney, or someone else who has no interest in '08.

"...however, he did have a snippy letter about Mr. Shapiro in Saturday's RTD..."Just found Mr. Stormhands' great letter. And it was a fine and well-deserved slap at the pompous, plaid-jacketed, poke-faced poltroon. Congrats!

Speculation like this tend to hackels feathers around here... especially since you signed up on 2-13-03... It's Cheney until further notice.
To: Walkingfeather
Everyone had to sign up sometime. I was here years ago and left due to flaming. I'm just back now and not trying to cause trouble.
This thread was a legiimate follow up to a discussion my husband and I had at supper last night. I wanted intelligent input, yours included, that's all.

ROFL!!!!!!!! Talk about a nomination I'd accept! LOL! Thank ya kindly.
And thanks for the hair compliment! Taken in the best way, of course. I cut it last year- and I am currently getting it back to the way it was in that photo. I'm about 2/3 there. I always think it's so boring when its long and then some butcher gets to it and I am reminded to just leave it alone! LOL!

So, when can we have a Red Table meeting? I'm out of town Tues/Wed. next week but other than that my schedule is more flexible than it's been for the last 6 months.
Perhaps we should move this discussion back to the Black thread?
To: annyokie
Should Cheney not be on the ticket. Tom Ridge.
