The damn article doesn't even mention that three days after this sentencing, three of these guys were actually executed! Nowhere in the article does it even suggest this fact.

Can you imagine what would happen if Oklahoma executed one guy a week after he was sentenced? The entire world would outraged. Let a favored leftist dictator murder some folks and he gets a wave of a finger.

I've asked the governor of Texas to send a study group (the Dallas Morning News has many friends and business interests in Cuba and can handle the details) to see if we can learn anything about making our criminal justice system as efficient as that of the noble Cubans. We got guys on death row for 18 years who are given another trial because their lawyer at the original trail wore a bow tie. Three days for dispatch would solve all these problems,, just like Fidelito, a blessed man of the people, does.
