Amineh's family have suffered for their beliefs - her brothers were jailed and her uncle killed as they campaigned to reclaim the Occupied Territories from Israeli control.(Eyes rolling to the back of head)
Suffered for their beliefs? They've been punished for their criminal activities, i.e. helping to kill defenseless women and children!

More Galloway mess.
His wife is truly a niece of Arafatty.
She would be a great successor to Arafatty.

Dr Amineh Abu-Zayyad, the renowned biologist - a close relative of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. So that's it. I had wondered how Saddam had somehow reached into the Parliament to find a traitor... Yep, this is somehow not a surprise. At all.

Her family gave the planned wedding their blessing after George visited them in Jerusalem eight years ago to ask for Amineh's hand... the couple married ... in March 2000 after a five-year courtship. George said: "The night I saw her changed my life. I saw this beautiful young woman in the audience and made sure I was introduced to her." His marriage to wife Elaine had hit the rocks, following his affair with a civil servant. The couple, who have a daughter Lucy, 20, separated in 1987 but did not divorce for 12 years.
He's slime. He was married, had a daughter, had an affair, asked this woman to marry him, but did not get divorced for another four years. There's other slimy stuff in the article here, but this is enough to get the epithet to stick.

You know it's desperation time when they bring the "old lady" out for cover. This guy is ONE HUGE CREEP. I hope he ends up in British prison for treason.

the renowned biologist - a close relative of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat - went on: "I have always admired him and I continue to do so. I am fully behind him. I have always believed in him 100 per cent."First, this is the first printing of what Rush claimed the other day, that she is related to Yassar Arafat. Rush said she's a niece.
Unless I missed it, this article omits that she was the one who introduced Galloway to his Jordanian intermediary for the payments from Iraq.
She met Galloway in 1991 and the first payment from Iraq that has been documented in yesterday's Christian Science Monitor article was in July 1992.
Also, the Jordanian born intermediary who had extensive schooling and business dealings in Iraq was the Jordanian chair of Galloway's "Mariam Appeal".

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/897567/posts Mr Galloway's intermediary in Iraq was Fawaz Zureikat, a Jordanian. In a letter found in one foreign ministry file, Mr Galloway wrote: "This is to certify that Mr Fawaz A Zureikat is my representative in Baghdad on all matters concerning my work with the Mariam Appeal or the Emergency Committee in Iraq."
--snip--
Mr Zureikat is said to have emphasised that the "name of Mr Galloway or his wife should not be mentioned".

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0%2C2763%2C941468%2C00.html Mr Zureikat, 49, ran a Jordanian organisation called the National Mobilisation Committee for the Defence of Iraq (NMCDI) and the international Rebuilding Baghdad Library Campaign.
He got to know Mr Galloway through the MP's wife, Amineh Abu-Zayyad, a Palestinian biologist with whom he attended university in Jordan.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/899717/posts The two earliest payments, in July of 1992 and October of 1993, are noted down on green stationary as having already been delivered. For example, the October payment states, "kindly be informed of the issuing of a gratuity by the esteemed leader President Saddam Hussein (may Allah protect and guide him) to Mr. George Galloway in the amount of $600,000." It says the money was handed over to him by the representative of the directorate of the Special Security Organization, Colonel Shawki. Thursday, the US Marines had surrounded the house of Colonel Shawki. His neighbors said he might have already fled to Syria.

But yesterday Dr Amineh Abu-Zayyad told the Daily Mirror: "He has done nothing wrong. He is a hero to me." Well of course he is a hero to her - He brought her home $3 million bucks !

As Arist. said, there's something up with the machinations of Galloway's private life. ... The secrecy, and now these revelations - probably a "first strike" to admit them, rather than have them slowly and involuntarily discovered by the public.
