Here is what I am saying. If they chose to have the house in Joint tenants with right of survivorship then what you say is accurate. If they didn't the default is community property administered as tenants in common. In Divorce cases these states usually treat these as community property , administered similar to tenants in common. Now, since he is charged with her murder I believe her portion will be frozen as though it were tenants in common. This last part is educated speculation!
