Report Says Peterson Used False I.D. to Buy CarSNIP IT:
"Peterson purchased the burgundy 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500 from a private seller in Ocean Beach, after seeing it listed in the San Diego Auto Trader. He paid $3,600 in cash for the car.
According to the report by KNSD, during the transaction Peterson showed the seller a Florida driver's license and told the man his first name was "Jacqueline." After the seller questioned him, Peterson reportedly told him it was a family name. Jacqueline is the first name of Peterson's mother.
About a week after the Mercedes-Benz was purchased, Peterson was arrested while driving it near the Torrey Pines Golf Course.
