Those who knew Peterson express shock

I have to disagree. I'm not familiar with that area, but there are bayou's in Houston where it's not uncommon to find bodies from time to time. If two of these bodies are women, or hispanic, or kids, does that automatically link the crimes, even though they might be perpetrated months apart? Not necessarily. That particular area just seems to be a fitting "dumping ground" for offenders.

And it would be easier to try to link these two crimes if they each didn't have a questionable male person in their life that wasn't happy in their situation. Scott's behavior, and his bold lying, and putting him where the bodies eventually washed up ON THE EXACT DAY of the disappearances, coupled with the suspicious events surrounding the day of his arrest, then given evidence that MPD obviously thought was important enough to take out of the house .. I don't think it looks good for him.

And, seriously, I DID NOT want to believe he did this. My mom was convinced from the start and she and I got into a huge argument about it .. LOL.

Time will tell, I hope, but I believe it doesn't look good for Mr. Scott.

LE may have told Amber, that it could be construed,in the context of her relationship with Scott and Laci's sebsequent murder,that there could be a question, as to her even aiding and abetting Scott in the crime. That could have been enough to make her very "civic minded" in helping LE with the case.

#1 In an interview outside of Jackie Peterson's home, she told reporters that her and her husband loaned Scott that Mercedes.

#2 As far as the Evelyn Hernandez case, I believe it was Greta last night that was interviewing a female that knew Evelyn Hernandez who did not implicate Evelyn's boyfriend, but did say that Evelyn was having problems with him and that also that Evelyn's wallet was found not too far from where her boyfriend was employed.

I posted that Catherine Crier had stated that, according to phone records, Amber called the house on the 23rd. She did not say that Amber talked to Laci.

I really got pissed off this morning before laying down to take a nap when it was reported that Scott was getting an abundance of mail. I wonder if it is a bunch of fan mail or hate mail. I really hope it is the latter.

Good luck. Everyone (or almost everyone)who is aware of this story to any degree, was convinced in January if not December 28 that Scott did it. Trial by Media- the new wave. It just goes to show that some lives are more valuable than others.

The operative fact about the other body is that it was a near full term pregnant woman. That is why the odds are astronomical, and it was rumored the bodies were in similar condition, but I cannot speak to that directly.

And why do you assume he was not happy in his situation, because he was having an affair? big deal. Speaking bluntly, pregnant woman are not especially sexually attractive to some men so he may have passed the time until the baby was born, it happens. With birth control methods today, it is highly likely he consented to this pregnancy and wanted this baby.

The exact day, yes well, would you send someone to the gas chamber on that fact? I think the police better have something else than has been presented.

Suspicous behavior, well the disguise proves zip except he was trying to get some privacy after having his picture all over the country, then the rest may have an equal explaination.

I am not saying he did or did not do it, but nothing so far is conclusive.

I feel a whole lot more will come out in regards to Ambers role. I get the feeling she is not quite the victim she portrays to be. Funny her sister living down the street from Scott. About the mysterious breakin. Did they ever solve that? I feel Amber and her sister Ava will have a lot more to say as the days go on.

Nappie time...thats where I am off too. My son's best friend and another kid have been here in TX all week for spring break. They just hit the road after I packed their cooler full of sandwiches, drinks and goodies. They are driving straight through back to Maine....oh to be young again..

I just wanted to add that in addition to Catherine Cryer it was posted on Court TV that,a reported call had been placed from Amber the night before Christmas Eve to Laci and Scott's house. Then in today's thread there is article form the CBS affiliate Channel 5, posted on their website, the Pix Page, titled,New Information About Scott Peterson's Affair, which goes on to say,"Channel 5 reports that on Dec 23, Frey called the Peterson home and Laci reportly answered the phone". I hope that helps answer your question CFW.
