"It's all secular, sophisticated, urbane. All the things regular people have a problem with."The arrogant, ignorant Liberal attitude in a nutshell. Liberalism is a cult, with members that sit around reinforcing each others delusions of intellectual superiority. Pathetic.

I think the cult is shrinking...the reds are always on the fringe waiting to stir the pot.

"He wrote in August 2002: "If it goes off [it] will join the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Desert One, Beirut and Somalia in the history of U.S. military catastrophes."
Desert one was a "catastrophe"? I'd hate to see his idea of a defeat...

He has risen from a lower-middle-class Irish background in Philadelphia to become the celebrated anchor of MSNBC's popular talk program Hardball and star of The Chris Matthews Show, which is syndicated by NBC.Popular? I thought Hardball's ratings were at Donahue's levels.

CHRIS MATTHEWS on HILLARY =
"HILLARY is quarterbacking the Democrats in the U.S. Senate"
"HILLARY is controlling the Democrat Party thru her DNC ChairMoneyman TERRY MacAULIFFE"
"HILLARY is controlling the next Presidential Race by blocking AL GORE from running again by her scrafing up all the Big Democrat Money in the East and in Hollywood for her own Presidential Run"
So, I ask in -Time of War- with an Enemy that is now just around the corner and up your street:
.."IS it SAFE?" = HILLARY on Armed Services Committee..

"He may no longer live in a row house in North Philly, but Mr. Matthews clearly identifies with the working class."
He does? Based on what? His mannerisms may not be upper class, but his politics are essentially pro big government; which translates to high taxes, high levels of regulation, and low growth: None good for the working class.
Talk like a regular guy and you're a regular guy. Deep stuff.

"The liberal is going out on a date with his transgendered, genetically-altered pet, or to a pseudo-documentary movie by Michael Moore or playing with the computer or watching West Wing," he said. "The conservative is playing with their kids, going fishing or hunting, going to church, or researching the truth behind the lies liberals spew ad infinitum on every channel of television available to them except FNC."ayup...pretty much sums it up

...to become the celebrated anchor of MSNBC's popular talk program Hardball and star of The Chris Matthews Show, which is syndicated by NBC. Don't you have to have viewers to be celebrated?
I didn't know the definition of "popular" was changed either. How can the lowest rated cable news show be "popular"?

His opposition has cost him. "I don't have [Fox News'] access," he said. "We can't get anybody on the show from the White House. It's just tough.
They see no interest in helping us."Why should they, when they know they're only going to get shouted down and cut off every time they try to get a word in? When they know all they're going to hear is several new ways of calling the president a moron?
Why should the White House offer its staff up for this kind of abuse, especially since no one's watching it anyway?

"The liberal is going out on a date or to a movie or playing with the computer or watching West Wing," he said. "The conservative is festering over a particular point of view they are angry about, and just loving the festering. The festering is enjoyable. It's a pastime." Maybe the liberals are too lazy to get involved and educate themselves about what's going on, only want to play, while the conservatives educate and concern themselves with current events and are far more likely to cast educated votes. iow, Chris says "the conservative is neurotic." Chris shows his lack of objectivity here: "Because I can't get an audience, means the typical viewer is defective."
Chris Matthews used to be more objective. He got less so as the possibility of war grew. He used to be one of my favorites. He's obviously become threatened by FoxNews. Too bad.

Chris Matthews down in the cellar looking up at Bill O'Reilly on the top floor. If he goes any lower he will be over at Donahues house.
