Thank you for being in our circle today, maestro, and for bringing to our attention the 2nd Corinthians scriptural reference.
WOW...4:7
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and NOT OF US. "
Paul could really say things, couldnt he??

Hey, Ms Feather!
Or should we start calling you Ms Feather-Butterfly!?
What a gorgeous picture and poem!! Thank you for bringing it to our prayer thread on this special day.
To me it seems you have captured so well the longing, joy, and hope of those families who are awaiting the return of their very own special trooper from deployment.

LOLOL! Silent lurking prayer trolls are welcome too!
To: SAMWolf
I'm looking forward to them!
Wasnt today just awesome? Mr TEXOKIE and I watched him arrive and mingle with all the troops. We both had to have kleenex....not a dry eye here at our little house on the prairie!
That speech was beautiful. I have a memory like a seive today, and can only recall how wonderful it was. I'm glad I recorded it so I can listen to it again. You could actually SEE the love flowing from him to the troops and from the troops to him in a tangible way.
President Reagan once said something about us being the keepers of the flame of freedom. I feel like those precious kids out there on that ship and who are yet in Afghanistan and Iraq and elsewhere throughout the world have claimed that torch and are truly keeping that living flame alive and protected. God bless them! God bless our President, and God bless America and her true allies!

To: SAMWolf
Oh shucks! It was really cool to see, especially to someone like yours truly who has never been aboard a piece of large floating steel equipment such as the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Soooo good to see you, AG! How're things hanging?
Life here has been breathtakingly exciting. We've been trying to get our lawn mower up and running. It is getting a little elderly and somewhat cranky. We were chasing down spare parts today. Finally Mr Texokie got it going and our lawn is less shaggy, but it was certainly a challenge!
