As far as I know, there is as yet no single confirmed SARS case in the United States, so we have no basis on which to compare our abilty to deal with an outbreak.

Actually, we have at least 5 confirmed cases in the U.S., and around 30 more "probable" cases.

The rest are "suspected", most of whom are not SARS.

One reason our stats look good is that we really have not been hit with many actual cases.

As far as I know Post #53 is correct, there are only "suspected" and "probable" cases in the US.

If you know of five "confirmed", I'd like to know where thiat information came from becaue it does not correspond with the latest information in my posession.

it is notable that multiple persons from flights with passengers originating in china/hk with sars are not being reported ill. This disease is apparently a CLOSE proximity/fluid transmission issue.
