I agree. Also, wasn't Dole part of the reason why Hillary-care stalled long enough to that it could be discredited? If so, then the man has truly served his country well beyond his military service.

Dole was an expert in stalling the Clinton agenda. It was a big loss when he left the Senate and let that spineless moron Lott be Majority Leader. Dole was a terrible campaigner, as before with Ford, and left a huge hole in the Senate that Mouse-brain could not fill.

I loved seeing Dole's second wife, Sugar Lips (her nickname), make a fool of herself nominating him. She reminded me of the sophomoric young minister who tried to make the benediction meaningful by being dramatic and then flubbing his lines. Her sound went bad and she got pee-owed while strolling around the floor. What a weird couple.
