I can appreciate what your saying. But was that really similiar in situation? (Wartime, etc) A few hours of not being able to go to the store or calling home seems completely different.

You train the way you'll fight
Because you WILL fight the way you have trained.
We were denied phone privileges during Basic (13 wks) until and only when the Instructors gave us permission. We earned the privilge as a unit not as individuals. So much for the ARMY OF ONE! Bottom line, they say jump and you ask HOW HIGH. The military is a way of life, not a job, not a career, not a college education, not an adventure, not a way out of a bad civilian situation.
Losing phone privileges for Easter is nothing. Discipline hurts, suck it up and drive on.
