I've learned if you look for a racist you can find them. I also think it's the time her mom lived in too. I just know it's not how I was raised. I've met all kinds of people. I've met some real true racists, white and black, usually more black. I think I've only come across one true white supremacist. Most white people (esp. white men) I meet (that liberals would say are racist) aren't racist but really frustrated. I know about white suburban flight, racial preferences, etc. and workplace discrimination. Plus, because I do talk about my father and mother, I hear things from white people no black person would ever hear. Sort of venting you know? The really tough crowd are the black people I deal with. Some have been through genuine crap like one customer I know who had to hide from the klan in Tennessee. Most are just fishing for racists in every puddle and have never been discriminated against ever. They have a guilt complex...go figure.
Too bad... when you box yourself in as Halle does, you miss out.
