My black great-great grandmother married her former owner in the Anglican church, but no children.

That does not compute - if your great-great-grandmother had no children, how could she be anyone's great-great-grandmother.

I didn't make it more clear. I was more thinking about the other parts of the story. She married her former owner, but he died without them having children. She then married again to another black African who she did have children by. I just was amazed when my grandmother told me that story. I haven't told that story since 1992 when I got publicly cursed out by the prez of the black student union... forgive me for being foggy :D
