The commanding general of Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio is warning military personnel not to wear their uniforms when off duty in that Texas city because of two recent threats on soldiers and sailors stationed there. YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING

Arm the troops when they're off base and use the same rules of engagement in San Antonio as in Baghdad. Problem solved.

"The matter was then taken care of by combined military action," said Mr. Reidinger, who would not elaborate.Heh heh heh.......
I hope that the punks were introduced to a prickly pear cactus, face first.

Mr. Reidinger said some Marines, who were not in uniform but were in the vicinity at the time of the confrontation, went to the aid of the sailors. While Marines and Sailors will sometimes brawl with each other, it is unwise to pick on one sea service whilst the other is in the vicinity. Pick on the one and both close ranks. Then it's all over but the butt kicking and name taking.

This is nothing new. I was in the army stationed at Ft Lawton in Seattle WA after WW2 and we were instructed by our commanding officer not to visit Seattle in uniform. This was especially true on May Day. Seattle area is loaded with communists.
