Well, we're not required to do so.

I am willing to remain skeptical, but good Lord, this guy's actions have been SO consistent with total guilt!

They say the statistics favor the spouse. To put himself right there at the scene, then to behave so suspiciously, selling the woman's car, trying to sell the house, selling her clothes...

No one in their right mind behaves that way.

I am reminded of Darlie Routier, the Dallas-area housewife who was convicted of murdering her two children in cold blood. The most consistent thing about her behavior afterward is that she showed a stunning lack of concern about the fact that her two boys were dead.
