You know Maggie, I'm convinced that Laci died within hours AFTER she spoke with her Mom on December 23rd.!! I think Snott had all night to roll her up and tie it up tight and then put her in his tool box in the back of the truck so that he could attach the PRE-made anchors in the early morning and drop her to the bottom of the ocean. As Dr. Cyril Wecht said, "Those bodies were NOT supposed to surface again". That ruined it ALL for Snott. Although I believe they would have tried him anyway.
