Without a Judeo-Christian world view, self government is very difficult if not impossible to sustain. The only culture that I know of which has done it is the Japanese, and they are good imitators. The only realistic chance for an Iraq that is not as tyranical and messed up as all of the other Arab countires is the spread of the Gospel.

You can thank Douglas MacAthur for that one, since he had a major role in writing the postwar Japanese constitution. MacArthur was a Christian.
