Assume that the state not only allows concealed carry, but mandates it of every single adult who is not physically disabled from shooting a firearm (blindness, inability to move arms/hands, et cetera).

How does this happy circumstance prevent a suicide bomber from accomplishing his deed?

It's very hard to push a detonator button when your brains have been ventilated.

Ah, but it's very easy to let go of a deadman switch (notice the name).

And what makes you so certain that the guy would be likely to be shot prior to hitting the detonator, anyway?

Is he required to give a two-minute warning or something like that?

So people should start blazing away at everyone whose clothing seems a little bit too bulky?

Or do suicide bombers announce "I am a suicide bomber, I will set off my bomb in 30 seconds?" Help me out here.
