Are you for real?
In this country, I should be able to call anyone a "nigger" to their face and not face threat of lawsuit. I should face the threat of being ostracized by my friends or fired from my job or getting my butt kicked across town because its very very rude to say that to someone, but the justice system has no business enforcing manners.
The two ladies suing are clearly just trying to scam money out of SW, the lawyers are trying to scam money, and you are sticking up for these ridiculous thieves. Disgusting.
Uh oh, I called your actions disgusting. Do you feel alienated? Don't sue me!

Speculating on why she filed the lawsuit is not the same as claiming to know her economic status or whether she's lazy or ambitious.
Since it's already assumed she's dishonorable, why not examine the flip side? Is that impossible to believe?
To: CaptainJustice
So they're
clearly trying to scam, huh? Well Jesus lover, no one really knows the thoughts or intents of their heart but God, now do they?
By the way, I haven't shown you any actions, just opinion. Discrimination laws were instituted because minorities were not defended. Why as a good example, I don't see too many people on this thread saying anything against the stereotypes being thrown around here. Why aren't you equally digusted that she was said to be on crack, on welfare, and lazy?
To: Pern
Sawyer and Fuller said that as soon as they heard the rhyme, they were reminded of the racist version that starts with the phrase: "Eenie, meenie, minie, moe; catch a n***** by his toe ..."
Yeah, and every time she passes a KFC or a watermelon stand she's going to claim that she was "reminded" by them of past racist references to food?

Fuller also maintains that the nursery rhyme incident caused her to be bedridden for three days because she suffered a "grand mal seizure." However, Fuller said she could not medically verify the incident because as a result of lacking health insurance, she did not seek medical help for the seizure.
Did these sisters graduate from the Jackson/Sharpton School of Con-Artistry?

I never said everybody who files a lawsuit is on welfare, but many people who file frivilous ones are.
I was not focusing on her skin color, but on her behavior.
Your focus was first and foremost on her skin color. Look in the mirror before you start blithely calling people you don't know "racists."

Suppose, instead of saying the WORDS, she "hummed" in cadence to the rhyme: "Mm Mm Mm Mm Mm Mm Mm" Would the woman still have gotten upset?

Well I can proudly say I did not watch a single episode of Celebrity Mole.
With shame, I must add that I watched every episode of "I'm a Celebrity! Get Me Out of Here!"

Drug use is far more frequently the cause of memory blackouts than hearing somebody sing a nursery rhyme.
I guess you didn't know that.

Stress affects memory also, and no, I don't know anything about crack.
To: Lijahsbubbe
and no, I don't know anything about crack.Pick up a book or a newspaper sometime, and you might learn about the world around you.
Crack is a form of cocaine, that is smoked in greater percentages by people who are on welfare filing frivilous lawsuits than it is smoked by people who have jobs and don't look for easy money through the legal system.
It also causes memory blackouts.

I had NO idea that that nursery rhyme had any kind of racist anything to it!I'm a 45 yo white southern gal and was taught the "tiger" version of the rhyme. I even remember a Little Golden Book I had with pictures of tigers. Those lazy women are just trying to make a quick buck off the airlines, nothing more. I hate that these law suits waste my tax dollars and the courts' time, and that I will have to pay for it on my next airline ticket purchase. Give them a one way plane ride to France!
To: Lijahsbubbe
I really don't understand why she chose that rhyme myself. It doesn't fit the situation. Eenie, meenie, miney, moe (or however it's spelled) is a rhyme used to select someone. The flight attendant was simply asking the women to quickly select a seat because they needed to go. It's really pretty simple. Just as it's quite simple to see that these women are either overly sensative or looking for some easy cash. Either way, their lawsuit is a disgusting disgrace.

Bigots like you prove her point. You have no idea what she does for a living. We do know she isn't above posturing, lying, be a racist and blackmail to get money rather than working for it, don't we? Also, it doesn't seem to matter than she is hurting not only the one attendant - but all stockholders in the airlines -
Doesn't sound like a paragon of virtue to me.
But seriously, folks, this is why I was so disturbed about the Trent Lott debacle and the nominating of a Hispanic judge (not touted as just a qualified man - but Hispanic), Republicans using race to further their goals. And the posts on here calling Democrats racists because they haven't confirmed him, when all they were doing was practicing their usual partician politics. Everytime, anyone uses race for their own ends = it just strengthens insanity like this. We certainly need to think before we feed the monster just to get what we want.

Read your post #18. You said filing a frivolous lawsuit indicates the lifestyle of being on welfare. Now you say it's 'most' or 'many'. Did you assume the lady who filed the McDonald's coffee lawsuit was on welfare, couldn't get her lazy ass out of bed, except to get a welfare check, and is on crack?
Seems like you're the one who knows all about crack. Funny how that was the first thing that came to your mind. You must think about it alot.
To: nanny
No, we
don't know that. You don't know anything about this woman. But I don't see you disturbed that she's been accused of being on welfare, on crack and has a lazy ass.
But I see you think you know she's a liar, blackmailer, and doesn't want to work for her money.
You don't know her.
Gotta go, will be back to respond later in the day.
To: jonathanmo
Excuse me. Did that decision say that n*, like tigers were dangerous animals????? Animals????? That decision sounds racist to me! Sue them! Meanwhile I gotta keep an eye on that 'respectable looking' family of obviously 'dangerous animals' up the street from me. Mom is weeding the flower bed right now, no telling what sort of *dangerous* behaviour she'll resort to next!
