Had exactly the same experience - was debating the war with a liberal guy in a restaurant/bar (basically letting him know what an idiot he is) and after two hours, he asked for my phone number. Wassup widdat?

I've never lied so fast in my life..."I'm seeing someone."

Short, bald, and liberal. Talk about a triple bogey!

You should have told him, "I appreciate the compliment, but I like men."

I guess it's because kind, intelligent people can disagree and still have a pleasant time together. I certainly don't enjoy being around someone who agrees with me on everything. How terribly boring that would be. Or, on the other hand, he could have just wanted your number and was willing to put up with nearly anything to get it. BTW, sorry to be dull, but I do agree about Beethoven.

He asked for your number because he reealized you had convictions, honor and integrity.

'Conservatism' is almost what your parents taught you as a kid, to do right, to work, to fend for yourself, and when it is found in a person when you are pursuing, you see stability, character, and faithfulness.

By the way, I live in Connecticut, want to go to Church with me?...(sigh)
