"so now we have to suffer pc puff pieces?"

What puff piece. These are women in our military, doing an essential job. They're showing _real_ support for the war. What are you doing?

"What are you doing?"

To continue: What you are doing is denigrating our military. What's it to you if four women are refueling fighters? My guess is that they do a good job of it, and the fighter pilots depend on them.

What's the deal with you? Are you a supporter of our war in Afghanistan and Iraq, or are you trying to run down our soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen?

You want their job? Just give me your area code, and I'll send you the number of your local military recruiters. Don't want their job? Then let them do it and be supportive.

Feh!

I can't believe those gals really have the strength to pull those throttles back!

It takes a bit of yanking sometimes, but most throttles aren't as hard as you would imagine.

Down boy.

What strikes me about this photo is...they're so YOUNG. They look like they should be discussing the senior prom. Instead they're flying jets. God love 'em. Is this a great country or what?

On Foxnews one of the embeds was saying that one of the guys he was with WAS discussing his *recent* senior prom.. the guys/gals on the front lines are mostly very young from what I've been told. 19-20 years old. It just amazes me at their courage. Maybe they put them in battle so young because at that age you still have the idea that you are invincible(sp?). Seems like that would help during battle.

" This item also counters the thought about women typically not working well together"

I've noticed that young women do work well together. It's when you mix in older women with the young where you get a problem. I know I've never had trouble working with women under 30.. When you get in an office setting though with young and older together it becomes a problem. In the last place I worked there were several older women (all over 50 but not all of the over 50 women in the office of course) who were the main gossip carriers of the place and started all of the tensions between people. I think it ends up being a control issue.. the older think they have a right to control the younger ones and treat them like their children rather than coworkers. I know I have gotten into some very tense moment due to being treated as a woman's child rather than her coworker. It's also not just older women.. it's older men as well relating to younger women. They tend to treat them like children as well. That bugs the hell out of me.

This is an awesome paint job.

Some Muslim zealot is probably freaking out right about now. The story is: this very special Mi-24 helicopter is presently flying in Afghanistan, where it is no doubt causing quite a stir. I don't think the ladies fly this one.

Tell us how you *really* feel - LOL!

Seriously, well said. I may not have been so "PC" in my response.

I don't know what your problem is, but I was just thinking how wonderful this way.
