Six pairs of boots, weapons, helmets and night-vision goggles -- representing the six crew members killed in the crash of a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter -- are displayed in a hangar at the Baghdad International Airport during a memorial service on April 12. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but U.S.commanders have said enemy fire was not believed to have brought down the aircraft.
A sad, sad picture...
So nigh is grandeur to our dust,
So near is God to man,
When Duty whispers low, Thou must,
The youth replies, I can!
--Ralph Waldo Emerson
