Sigh.
He's also sitting in on the meetings with Marines "as a representative from the Board of Directors of Save the Children".

"The French have become my new moral compass. Anything they're for, I'm against."
It is not so different from the leftist Democrats: Pelosi, Daschle, et al.

Dr. Bob is a real renaissance man.

Bob Arnott's reporting makes you actually feel the atmosphere around him and it is as though you are there when he describes things. Also, I thought I heard MSNBC say that the pilots from the apache helicopters swam a quarter of a mile in a canal to try to escape before they were captured.
To: Timeout
yeah
He mentioned that he calls back to "Save the children" to report on what he's seeing with the kids through these towns.
I bet he puts the toilet seat down.

Dr. Bob Arnot on the roof of the Palestine hotel... just spoke with a US Intelligence officer. He asked him about the firefight/sniper action last night. Turns out the guys they took into custody were NOT the shooters, they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Dr. Bob then asked him what were the three most interesting intelligence things he had learned in the last 24 hours. The guy said "you're going to put me on the spot." Bob said "Ok, the last 48 hours then." The guy said Ok, here's something unclassified:
Three stores were open that the soldier saw: a restaurant, a shop selling posters, and something else. Traffic has increased alot.
Dr. Bob Arnot telling this soldier that someone local Iraqi knows where one of the 55 most wanted is located. The soldier said they hear stuff like that all the time, that so-and-so knows where weapons are, where regime members are, where WMD are, etc.
So Dr. Bob asked if they ever found any WMD, and the guy said "Well.... I'll let somebody else answer that."
Then Dr. Bob did his on-air report: The locals say this is definitely NOT Beruit - they are sick of war, and they are looking forward to starting over and moving forward.
Much of the rest of his report was upbeat, and he even said things are going really well in Baghdad.
Every afternoon there is a meeting of everyone who is interested to coordinate where stuff goes - where are the watehouses, etc. Dr. Bob sits in the meetings because he's on the Board of Directors for International Save the Children.
Holy cow... after giving a really positive report and signing off, he said to the guy off camera (who I assume was the same Intelligence officer)... "What did you think?" The guy says it was good, and Bob says "I think I wasn't pro-Marine enough."
We love you Dr. Bob!!

Just saw Dr. Bob for the first time, on Bag-cam. Now I know why everybody here thinks he's great. After he was off camera he said "I just don't think I'm pro Marine enough. A little too negative?" LOL

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - U.S. troops discovered thousands of microfilm cartridges and hundreds of paper files in two residential buildings in a Baath Party enclave Monday in central Baghdad in what could be a major intelligence discovery.

An interview with a deserter from the Fedayeen:
"I wish for a car. When I get a car, I want an apartment. When I get an apartment, I hope I can get a wife, he said.
Nothing more? Thats it, he said."
