While watching Brit's show tonight I found myself just dumb-founded by the fact that Iraq has become the place it is today. I mean this is Mesopotamia, the beginning of civilization...paradise. This is a country that is RICH in resource! I've heard it said it "Should be the Jewel of the Arab world."
Yet we have a regime in power there for decades which has plundered its wealth, tortured it's people, and threatened the rest of the world. How could this happen? We have a country that should be years ahead of us in every aspect just because of the wealth of the nation and what benifits it could it could bring..instead there are starving tortured people running aroumd with Kalishnikovs and pistols, pummeling each other, and having no idea what due process even means.
Now we are going to help this country rebuild and live together as one nation. Is this posible? We have rival factions ( kurds, turks, sunni, shi'ite) that are all heavily armed, and have lived under tyranny for all of their lives and their parent's lives befor them.
So to all of the Anti's who are asking how and when Iraq will be rebuilt? I say, one brick at a time....from scratch. It's going to take more than 28 days....

And what Ollie North has to say is far more interesting than those anti-war protesters in Oakland. Ollie and the other embeds are the main reasons I watch FN's "primetime" line-up (+ Major Bob, Col. Hunt).
The left trying to spin Syria into "Bush wants to conquer the world" is silly. We all witnessed this President go the extra mile to prevent war. We all witnessed the results of the careful planning, deliberate and honorable execution of this war. We also witnessed those on the left protect a terrorist and a mass-murderer and still try to push their will on the newly freed people of Iraq.
Forget "balance" - just give us the facts, press.

This last guy sounded like Elmer Fudd... Geez, give the guy some Ritalin.

And let's not forget we had something like 10,000 SpecOps guys in there months before the war... it's possible some of their night missions (after the bombing started) were to recover documents, computer hard drives, and possibly even priceless artifacts, before they could be looted or destroyed. *possible*
That is a fascinating theory!

They also haven't had good 'example's' of proper civilized behavior... It will take a generation or two for the bad to be lost.

It depends on the what you say and how you say it. Each war president had his unique style, tone, and delivery.

Eagleburger warned the Bush administration of being cocky. Well, I guess we know tomorrow's headline in The New York Times and Washington Post.

I think it can be concluded with certainty that Stephen Zunes got his butt kicked daily in grade school.

Hooray for Col. North! Theres a certain irony that North sees true, where Eagleburher sees something else. As T Texas Tyler sang -- " he followed her footsetps in the snow".

If he is on our side why is he talkiing of impeachment? That is totally out of line and inappropriate.
To: cajungirl
He does this all the time. He will say something derogatory and then end up explaining the "context". I wish he would learn his lesson.
