Those are CNN's version of technical vehicles.
It seems that they fired on the convoy after Sadler asked the Fedayeen where the local syangouge in Tikrit was located.

Exactly, thank you! They seemed to only have 1 guard and only he was armed. That doesn't make any sense at all, at least to me.

Well if that "head wound" is actually serious, this should boomerang on them. Would be more confirmation of CNN's "Blood For Ratings".

Don't know, Brigette.

One guy with Newsweek wrote an article and almost bragged that he refused to be embedded and went into Iraq alone with just a photographer.
Ask me how many times we had to save his sorry ASS?

Maybe that farewell kiss from the UN Iraqi ambassador yesterday to the CNN dude was symbolic? (As in: see ya, wouldn't wanna be ya)

Headline in tomorrow's Tikrit Post;
"Local Boys Repel Yankee Hoard!" (from the movie "Stripes")

Commercial break now.
Petmeds commercial is so calming, along with an Advil commercial...... Ahhh, I think Brent could use an Advil about now......

I did see that, it looked like they were even on the other side of the road? Surely they have a bit of common sense and could, at the very least, have positioned themselves in the median.

"The first CNN plan has failed because of Iraqi resistance. Now Brent Sadler is trying to write another Tikrit plan," Arnett said. "Clearly, the CNN planners misjudged the determination of the Iraqi forces."

I thought it was gonna be a tampon commercial...that would have been too cool!!!
