I saw that, but don't remember it being discussed here.
According to the report, France would vote "non" in the U.N.---against lifting U.N. sanctions. They want the U.N. to control oil sales, contracts in Iraq and supposedly that can't be done with the sanctions in place.
I say: Let 'em do it. Force their hand.
Let the world watch France refuse to lift sanctions imposed ON SADDAM, not the Iraqi people It will drive them further into thier self-imposed exile from the civilized world.
I'm sure we could find some Iraqi qualified to represent Iraq at the U.N. and request on behalf of the people that the sanctions be lifted. Will Mr. de Villepin stand up to THAT?

Yes, dropping the Mother would be just a touch extreme! ;0)
But I say just give them a shovel and let them dig that hole they're in as deep as they can go!

To fail to lift the sanctions imposed on the Saddam's Iraq Adminstration now that the country has been liberated would be a travesty. But who cares if the UN fails to lift sanctions on Iraq. We will gladly buy all the oil they can produce and anything else the produce that we now buy from Mexico, Canada, Germany, Belgium, or France. T
