My husband was very curious about the commander who was relieved of duty. He said that is very rare and that he must have done something pretty bad. Well, not obeying orders is really bad.

I saw that. Eric handled it well. I didn't get it at first but Eric caught on right away. Stern fans are real creeps. He said "Jerks", but they are creeps too.

Listening to these POW parents speaking this morning, you can't help but notice that almost to a family, they all say that they are happy, but still sad about the ones who don't make it back.
Good people.

Really cute of the soldier, isn't it?
But those Husseins sure have lousy taste in decoratiing!

I accidently caught the Syrian ambassador on
Meet the Depressed, and he seemed to be more nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
I couldn't help but smile.

Well, not obeying orders is really bad.Yes, it is. Our top guys handled it swiftly and discreetly. The men and women serving in this military are an awesome bunch (awesome, that's my "amazing"). (^:

My daughter was married this past January and she and her husband went to Ireland for their honeymoon. They absolutely loved it. She said that everywhere they went they were treated special because they were newlyweds. (average Irishmen bought them drinks) They got to stay at a cool castle and they were upgraded to the tower suite. Amazing photos. I highly recommend Ireland.I haven't gotten all the details (they just got back). But for my brother-in-law, ANY travel is a big deal. He's a heart transplant patient. But I do know they loved the UK and Ireland--and they made sure France knew EXACTLY why they cancelled their trip to Paris: because they're anti-American.

Good people. Molly H. at the WH: "The President may decide to stay silent today"... because there are still some unaccounted for.
Good person.
Sniff. Awesome. I want to hit the "pause" button for a day or two.

That's awesome! you should be so proud of your sister and brother-in-law for changing those travel plans and making sure the french knew why!

I can not believe I went to bed and missed the pow release. Darn, the need for sleep. I guess an hour after I went to bed is when they started speculating they may have encountered the pow's. It's Sunday noon now, I just got up again - I really need to concentrate on homework, and it's going to be another good news day!!
To: Timeout
Timeout, that was reported and discussed here a while back. I don't remember the exact thread but I do remember that story.

When I saw the still photos of our FORMER POWs--clearer than the videophone shots--I started crying. It's a blessed day for them and their families.
But we still have six MIAs. They need to be brought home to their families. They still have to be in anguish.

That shows consideration.
At least we don't have to be subjected to I-Feel-Your-Pain-LipBiter-in-Chief.

Thanks for bringing me up to date. Guess there must have been a few "minutes" of the war I missed.
I can hardly wait to read and see all the compiled reports from the embeds. Ollie will surely do a special multi-episode, multi-hour production for "War Stories".
I'll have to buy more VCR tapes, I'm sure.
