Stayed up late watching the Rally for the Troops in DC, wondering at the choice of televising this awesome rally late night on the eve. of Palm Sunday when most families would be sleeping...and realized it didn't matter to the tens of thousands of Americans in attendance - or the millions around the world who cheered for the freed Iraqi people this week.
Americans ignored the naysayers and spin artists - those Big Time pundits - and turned to those who loved this country.
Thank you to the small, faithful groups of Freepers across this country who stood in the town square and waved the flag for our troops - for the rest of us. Thank you to the Freepers who keep this awesome website alive and the homefires burning for Uncle Sam.
Thank you, Monroe, for your selfless 'vanity'.
Thank you - I think so too!
"Constitution Day" (Sept. 17th) is one of those dates that seems to be forgotten.
I would submit that it is equally important as Independence Day.
BTW - I chose it when I got registered for FR because it also happens to be my birthday. :)
