49k here on a good night. I've got to do something, SAT ISP or move I guess. I'm too far for DSL and Cable ISP has been dangling the carrot for years but no service yet.

Don't listen to the idiots at the cable company. Next time you see a field worker that actually hook them up, ask them.

I was told I couldn't get it after I bought the modem and all (the CompUSA guy said my address was online). I almost gave up until my upstairs neighbor told me he had it.

I then ran into a field worker and asked and he said, "sure, what idiot in customer service said you can't"?

Found out our little area just isn't listed well on their maps.
